Chinese firm officially takes French club Sochaux

Paris, July 7 (IANS): French carmaker PSA Peugeot Citroen has confirmed it has completed the ownership transfer of French football club Sochaux to Chinese company Ledus.

"This is the culmination of a process begun almost a year ago," Xinhua quoted the French second division club's president Denis Worbe as saying on Monday.

It makes Sochaux the first club in Europe under the full control of a Chinese investor, and the third in France with a foreign ownership following Ligue 1 clubs Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
