AIFF to conduct club licensing workshop on Tuesday


New Delhi, July 6 (IANS): The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will conduct a club licensing workshop for all I-League sides here on Tuesday.

The AIFF has invited financial representatives of the clubs to the workshop which will include discussions on the financial criteria for licensing regulations, salary cap for players, future financial report among others.

Around 25 club representatives are expected to be present at the workshop, an AIFF release said on Monday.

The workshop will also enlighten the clubs on the changes made by the AIFF to the licensing regulations for the 2016-17 season.

The changes include running of Under-15 and Under-18 teams along with the senior teams and implementation of a thorough grassroots development plan.

The criteria for selection of marquee players for the next I-League tournament will also be determined at the workshop.
