Radwanska in Eastbourne International semis

Eastbourne (England), June 26 (IANS): Former champion Agnieszka Radwanska reached the women's singles semi-finals of the Eastbourne International with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova here.

The 2008 champion from Poland needed just 65 minutes to advance from four breaks of serve on Thursday. The world No.13 Radwanska, seeded ninth, will on Friday vie against Sloane Stephens after the American advanced without hitting a shot when Russian Daria Gavrilova retired before their quarterfinal, reports Xinhua.

Radwanska improved her Eastbourne record to 12-7 as she beat Pironkova for the ninth time in 11 meetings.
