Turkish club joins hands with Eto'o

Antalya (Turkey), June 25 (IANS): Turkish Super League newcomer Antalyaspor announced that the football club managers and Sampdoria's famous Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o have agreed in principle.

A written statement from the club said that the player is set to arrive in Turkey on Wednesday night, Antalyaspor chairman Gultekin Gencer and a group of managers departed for Istanbul with Eto'o set to arrive at the Ataturk Airport, reports Xinhua.

The Cameroonian joined Italian Sampdoria this January, yet has only scored two goals in 18 matches he has played.

Eto'o is expected to seal the transfer deal after his arrival. It was reported that Antalyaspor is still on negotiation with Brazilian star Ronaldinho, who is currently a free agent after last playing for Mexican club Queretaro.
