Mumbai, May 2: Maharashtra governor and former Karnataka chief minister S M Krishna celebrated his 75th birthday at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday May 1.

The celebration was held in the presence of Krishna’s wife Prema, daughters Malavika and Shambhavi, grandchildren, relatives, well-wishers and government officials.

M D Pallavi troupe presented a light music concert as part of the programme. The dais was decked with nine portraits depicting the childhood and life of S M Krishna. All the portraits were scripted in Kannada.

Krishna was congratulated by his well-wishers on the occasion. The programme was followed by high tea wherein Krishna relished south Indian dishes.

Among those present were Krishna’s former colleagues and friends from Bangalore including Sri Adichunchanagiri Seva Samiti president Narayan R Gowda, Leena N Gowda, Neha N Gowda, Federation of Maharashtra’s Canara Catholic Association advisor Harry S Ferar, Molly H Sequeira and others.

Later, Krishna also inaugurated the new tennis court at Raj Bhavan.
