Mumbai, May 1: A Konkani conference organized under the aegis of Mangalore Konkani weekly publication ‘Dirvem’ was held at Gyan Ashram in Andheri (east) here on Sunday April 29. Dirvem editor and publisher John Monis welcomed the gathering.
Veteran litterateur V D’Silva, writer Jacinta D’Souza, Rons Michael, Cyprian Albuquerque and Maharashtra Konkan Association founder president Leo Fernandes were present on the dais.
Poetess and Konkani activist Gladys Rego, Walter D’Souza, Jerimeri, Joy Palladka and other Konkani writers, dramatists, artistes and Konkani buffs were present.
Writer Oliver D’Souza Angelore compered while Clement D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks.
