Eros Now strikes content acquisition deal with Pakistan's Hum TV


Mumbai, June 9 (IANS): Eros Now, the online on-demand entertainment portal from Eros International, a global company in the Indian film entertainment space, has announced an exclusive content acquisition deal with Pakistan's on air and digital content company, Hum TV.

The deal will enable registered users of Eros Now to access Hum TV's entire library, including their current shows at no extra subscription cost. The members of Eros Now will be privy to some of Hum TV's most popular television shows like "Zindagi Gulzar Hai", "Humsafar" and "Dastaan", read an official statement.

It also gives an exclusive opportunity to Indian subscribers of Eros Now to view the content 48 hours prior to its telecast on any other platform.

Commenting on the occasion, Rishika Lulla Singh, CEO, ErosNow, said: "We are extremely happy to introduce Pakistan's popular soaps to a new digital generation of South Asians globally and add to our roster of content. The partnership with a leading channel like Hum will give our subscribers an opportunity to view the much sought after and varied Pakistani content."

This association enables Hum Network Limited "in reaching out and providing some of our best Pakistani content to millions of keen internet users across the globe," said Sultana Siddiqui, president of the Network.

Eros Now currently offers users thousands of new and catalogued movies from Eros as well as other major Bollywood studios. The online portal also has a large selection of premium television content syndicated from major TV studios as well as thousands of music videos and audio tracks.

Hum TV is a 24-hour entertainment TV channel in Pakistan which provides consistent high quality programming across a wide spectrum of genres.
