Mumbai, May 21: Amidst the many questions as to the involvement of Dr Vijay and landladyMadhu Bharti taking a video instead of taking Shikha to hospital, the actress's daughter Shrawani has pledged to fight for justice. Versova police are looking into the matter, and on Wednesday, recorded the statement of the doctor accused by Shikha in the video.

Shrawani claims, "She was not the kind of person to take such an extreme step. That she chose such a painful way to end her life is just too difficult for me to believe. She had a very lively nature. Such stories are being created to weaken the case."

Dr Vijay Sharma had performed a breast augmentation surgery for Shikha a while ago and recently the actress had approached about the chest pains she was experiencing. The actress had asked the doctor to undo the damage he had done in conducting a faulty surgery the first time round. More so she had asked the doctor to rectify his mistake free of cost. When the doctor refused she repeatedly threatened him with suicide. Dr. Sharma has allegedly submitted all the evidence that he has to the police including phone records.

Shikha's daughter Shrawani however has revealed that, "All was well until she (Shikha) filed a complaint against Dr Sharma. I was pursuing my studies in Mumbai and my mother's career was in full swing. But his (Dr Sharma) regular threats forced my mother to bring me back to Delhi to stay with my family members. She also gave up her work in Mumbai and would travel to the city only for her case hearings. These conditions left the family fearing for my safety. I returned to Delhi and was not even allowed to step out of the house. Few days ago, my mother told my uncle to ensure that I don't even use any social networking sites or online chat forums."

40 year old model-turned actress Shikha Joshi who was last seen in the movie BA Pass alongside Shilpa Shukla, slit her own throat, out of desperation and died soon after. Her landlady Madhu Bharti took a video of Shikha as she lay bleeding on the floor, in which she asked pointed questions evidently in an effort to absolve herself. Shikha's brother has accused Madhu Bharti of wasting precious time, where she could have saved Shikha's life by taking her to the hospital. Meanwhile the police are questioning the doctor that Shikha has named in the video to be responsible for her drastic actions.
