Mumbai, Apr 2: The all-Karnataka Jain Sangha celebrated Mahaveer Jayanti at the Pejawar Math hall, Santa Cruz here recently.
Renowned writer Dr Sanjeeva K Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion.
The celebrations were marked by prayers, rituals and bhajans. Several Kannadigas were present on the occasion.
The programme was presided over by Sangha president Adiraja Jaini. Vice-president Vani Vaidya, joint secretary Nemichandra Mudya, treasurer, Anantaraj Jain and Jaya A Jain were present on the dais.
Dr Sanjeeva Shetty was honoured on the occasion by Adiraja Jaini. Sanatkumar Jain welcomed the gathering while Loknath Jain proposed the vote of thanks.
Joint secretary Vardhaman Jain, joint treasurer Padmaraj Hegde, administrative committee member Jaya A Jain, teacher Jayaraj Jain, Dhananjay Adhikari and others were present.
