Strong 6.8-magnitude quake hits northeastern Japan

Tokyo, May 13, AFP: A strong 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of northeastern Japan this morning, the US Geological Survey said, but authorities did not issue a tsunami warning and there were no immediate reports of damage.

The quake struck at 6:12 am (local time) off the east coast of Japan's Honshu island in the Pacific Ocean, according to USGS, at a depth of 38.9 kilometres.

Japan's meteorological agency said there was no immediate tsunami threat from the quake.

The quake hit 33 kilometres south east of the nearest city of Ofunato. Japan's islands are situated at the conjuncture of several tectonic plates and experience a number of relatively violent quakes every year.

Better to develop a software to make the earth and the world as earth quake proof.Otherwise these quakes will rally shake the world shortly and not spare any nation.

Something very very wrong with the like minded Lobby.Perhaps it doesn't care and share and has only onde sided revelation thinking its terms without bothering to know others terms.

    So sad and scary news.

Recently we have heard sad news of Earthquake in Nepal which took lives of over 7000 people. But saddest part is, Nepal is getting aid or donations from rest of the world is much more lower than what they expected or they need for recovery or re-construct the damages.

Guys let us be more generous. Just sympathy or prayers won't help.

    Prem, Moodubidri,
Donation is essential, but at the same time PRAYERS may work even better than donations.

End of the world .... Where it will go? And what about other planets in our Solar system and the Sun and entire universe.

So let us keep our intentions, actions, thinking, and attitude clean and live by fear of God.
(ISIS - if at all have taken a moment to realize, they would not act the way they are butchering humans)

Feeling very sad for people of Nepal & Japan.
This reminds me that we humans, whether rich or poor, intelligent or ignorant, bright or dull have lot of limitations, all alike.
Science is only uncovering the hidden mysteries.
But that too has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Many a times, we do not realize the impact of what we do, and what is happening around us.
    We are continually learners.

It's normal now-a-days for japan as there country falls under earthquake zone. Even after earlier tsunami japan recovered quickly. Affected more than twenty six countries still not able to recover so soon. Volcanos/Earthquakes/Torandos are now part and parcel of mankind. Should not worry much. Whatever it comes we wants to face.

More concerned about 'terrorist' attacks which we wants to avoid the most it's on our hand.
