Rio de Janeiro, May 11 (IANS): Spanish football club FC Barcelona are leading the race to sign Brazilian star Gerson, according to media reports.
The 17-year-old's father, Marcao, has been given a tour of Barcelona's facilities and has held talks with current Barcelona player Neymar's family about a possible move, reports Xinhua.
English clubs Chelsea, Manchester United and Italian champions Juventus have also been linked with the midfielder.
His present club Fluminense is understood to value Gerson at 29 million euros.
He caught the attention of international clubs with his performances for Brazil at this year's South American Under-20 championships in Uruguay.
