Fan-Zhou reach world table tennis final


Suzhou (China), May 2 (IANS): China's Fan Zhendong and Zhou Yu whitewashed Japan's Kenta Matsudaira and Koki Niwa 4-0 to reach the men's doubles final at the World Table Tennis Championships here on Saturday.

The Chinese duo were in control throughout the match, winning 11-6, 11-7, 11-6, 11-6, reports Xinhua.

China's Xu Xin and Zhang Jike are taking on South Korea's Lee Sang-su and Seou Hyun-deok in the other semifinal. Xu is bidding for his second title here after winning the mixed doubles crown with South Korea's Yang Hae-un on Friday.
