Suzhou (China), May 1 (IANS): Chinese Liu Shiwen and Mu Zi both made it to the women's singles semifinals at the World Table Tennis Championships here on Friday.
Liu, ranked second in the world, edged out teammate Zhu Yuling 11-3, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-3 while Mu downed Singapore's World No.4 Feng Tianwei 11-5, 11-2, 11-9, 11-5, reports Xinhua.
China is expected to sweep all semifinal spots with Japanese teenager Mima Ito pitted against defending champion Li Xiaoxia of China and top-ranked Ding Ning vs fellow Chinese Wu Yang.
