'Banno' singer Swati Sharma thanks Anand L. Rai

Mumbai, April 27 (IANS): Swati Sharma, the voice behind "Banno tera swagger laage sexy" from "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", says the high pitch in the number was not easy to crack. But she's glad director Anand L. Rai gave her a break with the song, which is picturised on Kangana Ranaut.

Sharma is happy that people are enjoying the song.

"It wasn't a cakewalk to be able to pitch the exact note. The high tone of this sexy, peppy and foot-tapping number had to match the Haryanvi character played by none other than Kangana. I also want to thank director Aanand L. Rai for giving me a break with this song," she said.

The singer hails from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and says she has bagged a few more projects which she can't disclose right now.

"I have bagged a few more songs, which I can disclose only after everything gets finalised. I credit myself for being able to complete my daily riyaz religiously. I have travelled all the way to Mumbai. Moreover, my parents have extended their support in every manner whatsoever," she added.
