Ajman, UAE, Mar 12: Over 400 people participated in the 2007 Annual GMC Ajman Fun Run, held under the auspices of the Gulf Medical College, Ajman and organized by the Body and Soul Health Club, an international chain of health clubs in the UAE.
The course, with starting point and finishing point at the Kempinski Hotel Ajman, was a 7-km run along the fabulous Corniche.
The following were the various results of the run:
The winners among men and women over 40 years were Dinashen K and Raguma Abu Baker. Abdul Wahab and Omir Yasin won among the children with special needs, while Amar Omair and Hamid Jidi were the winners among children who ran 2.6 km.
The sponsors of the event were Emirates Techno Casting, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, Thumbay Group, Sun & Sands, Asiatic Printing press, GMC Hospital,Gulf Medical College and other leading companies.
The organizers of the Fun Run, Body and Soul Health Club, are delighted with the response. With the introduction of a family run as well as special needs run, this event was the best sporting events on the Ajman Calendar. Besides free entry, all participants were given a free T-shirt each.

The Gulf Medical College is recognized and approved as an institution for higher education by the Ministry of Higher education and Scientific Research, UAE. GMC is listed in World Directory of Medical Schools by WHO and also listed in IMED under the auspices of FAIMER. GMC is offering MBBS degree programmes with a capacity for 60 students and BPT programmes with a capacity for 25 students with limited seats for both boys and girls of all nationalities.
