London, April 14 (IANS): Manchester United legend Eric Cantona believes his former team can win the English Premier League football tournament next season.
United defeated cross-city rivals Manchester City 4-2 on Sunday to consolidate their third position in the league table.
"Now they are the kings of the city," Frenchman Cantona was quoted as saying by bbc.com on Tuesday.
He won four titles for United between 1992 and 1997.
"Sometimes you have a season when you lose games and you finish fourth or fifth. Next year they can win," he said.
Despite going a goal down against City, United responded strongly with goals from midfielder Ashley Young, Belgian Marouane Fellaini, Spaniard Juan Mata and defender Chris Smalling. For City Argentine striker Sergio Aguero scored both the City goal.
