They arrested college girls and boys who had come from different parts of the country. There were some local students as well. The participants flew down especially for the party, Rural Superintendent of Police Vishwas Nangre Patil told reporters.

The possibility of an international drug syndicate cannot be ruled out, as there were some foreigners present, while an Irish national, who has been identified, went absconding. There is a red corner notice against this person, Patil said, adding that the advertisement for the rave party was on isratrance.com and publicized at the orkut.com social networking web site.
