Deportivo fire coach Fernandez

Madrid, April 9 (IANS): Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna has fired coach Victor Fernandez as the club is struggling on the brink of La Liga's relegation zone.

The club announced Fernandez's sacking on Wednesday following a 1-1 draw at home with bottom-side Cordoba, leaving it winless in eight consecutive rounds, reports Xinhua.

The club said no replacement has been decided yet.
