Two soldiers killed in Ladakh avalanche


Jammu, April 4 (IANS): Two soldiers were killed, two injured while two others went missing on Saturday after an avalanche hit their vehicle in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said.

Three Army trucks were hit by an avalanche near Changla in Leh district, a police officer told IANS here.

Two soldiers were killed on the spot while the two injured were rescued in an army operation launched immediately after reports of the avalanche were received.

Two soldiers were still missing and efforts were on to trace them, the official said.
