Lekhi 'smells rat to obfuscate' NE coverage

Bengaluru, April 4 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Meenakshi Lekhi said she "smells a rat to obfuscate" the media coverage of the national executive meeting in Bengaluru.

Her comments came after a hue and cry over the installation of a CCTV camera pointing towards the trial room of a Fabindia boutique in Goa where Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani was trying on some clothes.

"Do I smell a rat to obfuscate the BJP national executive meeting. Attempts being made not to cover NE meeting instead cover some other inane issues," Lekhi tweeted.

"Response to my previous tweet shows the intent while one story is relevant as news other as a discussion material,?ing nt Smriti Ji but media4emphasis," she said in another tweet.

Lekhi posted a third tweet to clarify that her tweets should be played together to "avoid spin or confusion".

A store of Fabindia was sealed in Goa on Friday and four people were arrested for allegedly placing a CCTV camera overlooking the store's trial room where Irani was trying on clothes.
