Beyonce not to star in 'The Big Short'

Los Angeles, March 24 (IANS): Singer Beyonce Knowles is not part of "The Big Short", a movie adaptation of the famous book "The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine".

Christian Bale and Steve Carell, a representative for Paramount Pictures, have denied speculations in this regard telling a website Gossip Cop that it's "not true", reports aceshowbiz.com.

Michael Lewis, author of the best-selling novel, was the one who spoke about Knowles's possible involvement in the movie.

Appearing on an American morning television programme "CBS This Morning", Lewis said: "The movie started filming on Monday,in New Orleans and had an incredible cast, including Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell ... and I think Beyonce."

Beyonce was last seen in the 2009-released film "Obsessed".

Adam McKay is directing the film with no release date yet fixed.
