Lima, March 24 (IANS): At least 34 people were killed and 70 injured in an accident involving three buses and a truck in central Peru on Monday, authorities said.
The accident happened at 4.30 near the coastal town of Huarmey, around 300 km from the capital Lima, according to a Xinhua report.
The three buses and the truck crashed and one of the buses was split into three parts, local police said.
Two helicopters and rescuers were at the crash site, police said.
