Mangalore, Feb 13 (12-15 am): A group of miscreants ransacked a restaurant on Monday night causing a huge loss.

Our reporter from the spot has informed that a group of around 30 masked men entered the South India restaurant situated in the Presidium Building in Attavar. The group entered the eatery around 10.30 pm and ransacked the spot.

The owner of the restaurant, one Mustaq who was on the counter was severely beaten up and is said to be seriously injured. Mustaq has been admitted to the KMC Hospital, Attavar.

The restaurant has been totally damaged. A cash amount of Rs 20,000 too has been looted from the counter, according to the complaint filed with the police.

However there has been no clue about the persons who were involved in the crime.
