Abu Dhabi: KCO Annouces Mangalorean Day on May 18

Abu Dhabi, Feb 11: Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO) the premier social organization of the UAE, catering for the social requirements of Mangaloreans and Konkani speaking community residing in Abu Dhabi will hold its annual extravaganza the "Mangalorean Day"  at Abu Dhabi Sheraton Hotel on Friday, May 18, 2007.


'Sangeet Guru' Joel Pereira

As part of the programme, the musical Maestro Eric Ozario of Mand Sobhan fame  will enthral the audience with his unique blend of songs and music accompanied by his troupe lead by ace Musician Joel Pereira

The presence of talented Goan singer Lulu will add extra glamour to the occasion, who will render variety of melodious Goan songs.


Melita Pinto - Miss Daijiworld 2006

As an added attraction, the programme will be compered by Melita Pinto - the talented compere, who was crowned "Miss Daijiworld"  last year and is also one of the Anchor Persons for Daijiworld TV,  who has created a niche for herself in and around Karnataka, will be specially flown in from Mangalore.

The event generally attracts large number of Mangaloreans and Goans, which is held every year and is only one of its kind held in Abu Dhabi exclusively for the Konkani speaking community.
