Dubai: Pamboor Parishioners Celebrate Annual Day

Dubai, Feb 9: Parishioners of Holy Cross Pamboor (Udupi district, Mangalore Diocese) celebrated their annual day in style on Friday February 9 at President Hotel Dubai. 

Usual fun, entertainment, skits, spot prizes, games and music marked the day.


Fr Fredric D`Souza of St Mary's Catholic Church Dubai was the guest of honor. Recognizing the achievement and efforts by Rajesh Sequiera in fulfilling the dream of Mangaloreans of having direct flight from Dubai to Mangalore, Pamboor association honoured him with shawl and memento. 

Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief of daijiworld.com was honoured for bringing a new revolutions in the field of e-media.  Fr Fred D'Souza presented the shawl and memento to Walter Nandalike on behalf of Pamboor association. 

Kishore Norona, former president of the association introduced the guests to the audience.  President of the association Ambrose was also present on the dais. Earlier, secretary of the associaton Vinitha read out the detailed report of Pamboor association. 



Maxim Periera of 'Manasa' fame and leader of 'Glorious' Band Anjelore,  and a singer, composer of recent generation was centre of the attraction with his band. Along with Asha Correa, Sunitha, Ashok, Dainy, Jacintha and others Maxim entertained the audience with mixed music of almost every noted artistes of Konkani music. 

Avil, Kishor, Ashwin and others presented skits with their skilful acting.  Dance by little kids Gavin, Delvina, Cema, Divya and team kept the audience glued to their chairs to the end.



Suntiha Menezes proposed vote of thanks.  Agnel, a up-and-coming young compere took charge of the entire event and did wonderful job with his presence of mind and oratorial skills.
