Nick Cannon files lawsuit over home sale

Los Angeles, March 11 (IANS): "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon has filed a lawsuit after claims that he was only told that his family home was being sold after the deal was complete.

The lawsuit has been filed against business manager Michael Kane, in which he alleges that all details of the $9 million sale of the Bel Air mansion he once shared with estranged wife Mariah Carey and their twins Moroccan and Monroe, were shared with Carey but not with him, tmz.com reports.

Though Cannon says he never authorised the sale, he states that this isn't the problem, and he is instead angry because Kane failed to keep him informed from the start of the process to the end.

He's said to be particularly concerned about how the proceeds from the sale of the house will be divided, and wants the $9 million frozen until he's given a detailed accounting of the cash.

Kane has hit back at the lawsuit, slamming it as "frivolous" and said it's "clearly a desperate act from a sadly desperate man".
