Have pinned high hopes on 'Panchami': Archana

Chennai, March 10 (IANS): Actress Archana is upbeat about the release of her much-delayed Telugu supernatural thriller "Panchami", which is said to be the first film in the language featuring only one character.

Directed by Sujatha Bouriya, the film releases in cinemas on Friday.

"It's been a long wait but I haven't given up hopes. It's an experimental film that I'm proud to have been associated with. I play the sole character in the movie and it was a challenge to pull it off convincingly. I'm really excited about the release," Archana told IANS.

She's slightly upset she had to wait this long for the release.

"It's disappointing that most small films get delayed due to several reasons. I finished this film long back but we had to wait to find a suitable time for release. Sometimes the buzz is lost while waiting for release," she said.

Archana feels the computer graphics (CG) will be one of the highlights of the movie.

"There's lot of CG work and it also happens to be one of the reason why the project got delayed. It has been used in such a way that one can't guess where it's exactly used in the film," she added.
