Bahrain, Feb 5: Karnataka state fisheries and endowment minister Nagaraj Shetty who is on a private visit to Bahrain on invitation from Mangalore Clultural Association & Hotel The Palace to attend “Kudlotsava” programme was felicitated by Karnataka Associations in Bahrain at Kannada Sangha on Sudnay February 4.

 

 

 

Kannada Sangha Bahrain, Karnataka Social Club & Konkan Singers Club along with other Karnataka Associations jointly honored Nagaraj Shetty.  In his speech Nagaraj Shetty admired the earnest efforts and commitment of Kannadigas in Bahrain and the entire Gulf in nurturing and promoting their culture.

 

 

 

He emphasized that the coalition government in Karnataka is committed to the welfare of the people of the state and the Kannadigas abroad.  He assured the full cooperation and support from the government to look into the problems faced by the Kannadigas in the Gulf.

 

 

The Ambassador of India to Bahrain Balakrishna Shetty signified the role of Kannnada Sangha in Bahrain for their immense contribution in promoting Kannada language and culture. He admired their dedicated efforts in organizing World Kannada Cultural Convention with meticulous planning and hard work.

The Kannada Sangha president Raj Kumar presented a memento, shawl and bouquet to the minister.
