Kuwait, February 1: St. Aloysius College Alumni Association, Kuwait ( SACAA-KUWAIT) organized a fund raising show “Rendezvous 07”. The program was held on 1st February 2007 at grand Mubarakia ballroom of Hotel Ramada International from 9.30 pm onwards.


SACAA Kuwait officiated by Archie Menezes witnessed a great success of their maiden show Rendezvous 06 and the proceeds were donated to the Aloysius boys home catering to the needs of many homeless children to sustain their stride towards a brighter future. This year too the “Rendezvous 07” was a tremendous success with a hall full of enthusiastic people.    

Program commenced with an introduction about the purpose of this event followed by a warm welcome by the MC Lloyd D`Souza. DJ Aryans and Soul Shakers rocked the show with their hit numbers and the dance lovers were on the floor, which went on till 5.30am.




After the introduction of executive Committee members, Archie Menezes President of SAACA along with the executive Committee members lit the lamp followed by a short speech by the President. Archie was proud to mention that now the SAACA has reached great heights. Archie also did not fail to state that he was overwhelmed by the response he got for this program and the proceeds of this event will be used to support the education of deprived children, who work for a paltry wage during the day, while attending the Night High School and the Industrial Training Center administered by Alma Mater later in the evening.
 
Successful ex-Aloysians were felicitated on this occasion. Distinguished Aloysians who received the honors were Lawrence D'Souza of Caesar's Group for successful business venture, Lancy Pinto Nayak for art & literature and Sudhakar Shetty for sports & culture.




Main attraction of the program was a contest to select the Mr Personality and Ms Charming which was conducted in 2 rounds. Lee and Delma Cutinho were the winners of the title. Col. Abraham couples were awarded by "Best Dancing Couple" and runners up were Jason & Delma. Raffle and entry ticket draws were held with distribution of exciting prizes. Mouth watering dinner was served in between.




The event was sponsored by Warehousing & Logistics giant ‘AGILITY' and cosponsored by  Caesar's Group, UAE Exchange, The Sultan Center and Wadi Al-Sakeef.
