Mumbai, Jan 29: The annual feast of St Mary’s Orthodox Brahmavarians Church at Chakala, Andheri here, was celebrated on Friday January 26.
Parish priest Fr Ramban G M Scaria was the main celebrant for the festive mass, while Fr Lawrence D’Souza was the con-celebrant.
At a stage programme held later, office-bearers of St Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Catholic Association, Milton D’Silva, Joseph Roche, Gilbert D’Silva and Stanly D’Silva were present.
On the occasion, Fr Scaria said that the association which will be celbrating its golden jubilee this October, is planning to construct a new church in the metro city.
Hilary Suares Uppooru who sponsored the annual feast, was felicitated by Fr Scaria. Fr Lawrence welcomed while treasurer John D’Almeida introduced the guests. Secretary Lawrence Suares proposed the vote of thanks.
