Bangalore, Jan 11: Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has ordered suspension of all work in progress at the Nagarjuna power project near Nandikur in Udupi district for a period of a week.
In this interim period, a delegation of fishermen, affected persons and local leaders will visit similar power projects like Dahanu in Maharashtra and submit a report after studying possible harm to ecology from such projects.

In view of the above development, the anti-Nagarjuna agitators have withdrawn their threat to block the highways in Udupi and DK districts on January 13.
