Mangalore, Jan 10: A bike rally to spread the message of "Communal Harmony" as part of Diamond Jubilee Celebration of ICYM on Friday January 12 evening. It is also the national youth day. The rally has been organized in order to make youth aware about corruption, injustice and other anti-social issues and fight against these issues.
This was announced in a press conference by Ivan D'Souza, honorary president Diamond Jubilee Committe president on Wednesday January 10 morning.
The rally will be flagged off by Western Range IGP Satyanarayan Rao at 4 pm at Nehru Maidan here. Mayor Vijaya Arun will preside over the function while deputy commissioner Maheshwar Rao will be the chief guest.
The rally will move through Hampankatta, Jyothi Circle, PVS, Lalbagh, Nantoor, Bendoorwell, Kankanady to Rosario Grounds. Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Abhaychandra Jain and former minister B V Moidin will address the rally at Lalbagh and Kankanady respectively.
ICYM director Fr Elias D'Souza, president Jaison Soares and DJC secretary Marita D'Souza were also present at the press conference.
