Uppinangady, Jan 7: In a tragic road mishap, four persons traveling in a jeep breathed their last.
The accident took place on Sunday at Perne. According to sources present at the spot, the jeep was plying from Uppinangady with, when it collided into a lorry carrying iron ore.
The police have identified the victims as Khairunissa (19), a resident of Bethrodi in Bajjathur, Zubeida (19), a resident of Bajjathur, Afsa, a resident of Hunsekatte in Kuvettu village and Aziz (9), a resident of Bajjathur.
Asgar (13), Mohiudeen (18) and Abdul Khudus, who sustained critical injuries, have been admitted to a hospital here.
