Purbi Joshi to join 'Comedy Classes' as Hawa Hawaai

Mumbai, Jan 31 (IANS): Actress and comedian Purbi Joshi is set to comeback on small screen after her wedding. She will be seen as Hawa Hawaai on comedy show “Comedy Classes”.

Aired on Life OK, the sitcom that features standup comedians like Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh will bring forth a rib-tickling spoof of iconic film “Mr. India” in the episode.

In the film, actress Sridevi danced on the song in a golden shimmery gown and Purbi will also don the same look for the TV show. For Purbi, her stint on the show acted as homecoming.

“It felt like going back home with 'Comedy Classes'. There was this different level of comfort since everything is familiar for me and I have worked with Krushna and the team before. Since I now stay in Los Angeles, it is difficult to shuffle but acting is my first love,” she said in a statement.

Purbi, who got married to a Los Angeles based businessman last year, also said that if given a chance she would join "Comedy Classes" again for more fun and humour.

“There is a lot happening now but If ever it arises, I would love to be a part of 'Comedy Classes' and join the team,” she added.

The episode will be aired Feb 2.
