Moodubelle, Udupi, Jan 2: Elroy Jason Alva, an engineering student studying at Nitte, aged 21, died in an accident during the early hours of the New Year 2007.

A very active personality, Jason, after a gala New Year celebration at his place with his local friends and their families, at 12.30 AM decided to continue the new year celebration at Shirva, a place near his home at Poyyadapadi, Moodubelle.
At night, without proper knowledge of the curvy roads, Jason’s friend Allan, lost control of the motor bike and hit a hard surface which caused the fatal death of Elroy Jason Alva.
For about 20 minutes the fatally injured Jason did not get any help and his friends sensing the mishap rushed to the spot and carried them to KMC Hospital, Manipal.
He was declared dead on arrival. Allan, who also was injured, is recovering in the hospital.
Elroy Jason Alva is survived by his father Felix Alva, mother Juliet Alva, his only sister Jean Flavia Alva.
