Sanjay Dutt with family pending decision on furlough extension

Mumbai, Jan 9: Actor Sanjay Dutt who had arrived at Yerawada Jail to surrender himself, left the premises within an hour and is now back home as prison authorities are yet to take a decision on his application for an extension of his leave. His lawyer Hitesh Jain informed the media that the actor was at home and would remain there until they were informed as to whether he would be granted further leave or he had to be back in prison.

Sanjay Dutt had taken leave for a few days from jail stating that he wished to spend New Years with his family. He was out on the 23rd of December, 2014 and had flown back to Pune in order surrender himself back to the authorities at the end of the fortnight as per regulations. It has been revealed that the actor had submitted an application for extending his leave on the 27th of December. Since an clear decision had neither been taken nor was he informed of it, the actor was advised to return home from the gates of the prison itself.

Maharashtra's Mininster of State for Home, Mr. Ram Shinde too said that he needn't surrender himself till his application had been answered by the authorities concerned. However soon after the Minister was unavailable for further comment. The actor said, "We made the request for extension the furlough Dec 27 and it is still under process. As the laws stipulate that I must surrender myself if I am not granted the extension, I am doing it now."

    what a joke of indian judcial system.y this drama ..in nd out from jail SANJAY DUTT. 14 DAYS OUT NOW EXTENSION another few days..home minister of maha rastra.has given statement.
    even salman khan also facing cases in court..just dragging days. indian judicial system is .. BLIND ..FOR FILM STARS.. its only poor people convicted.
