Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld News Network – Mumbai (SS)

Mumbai, Dec 18:  The old students meet of Mahalingeshwara aided Higher Primary School at Nakre near Karkala, was held at Andheri (S) here on Sunday December 17.

Businessman K R Kotian presided over the function, while Ratnakar Shetty was the chief guest. Principal and secretary George Castelino in his introductory address stated the purpose of the meet and also introduced the old students.  

He said that the school is on the threshold of celebrating its diamond jubilee, but the building is in a very poor state.  It is the need of the hour to re-build the school for the future of the students, he added.


Walter Lasrado, Mahendra T Nayak, Felix D’Souza, B A Poojary, Valerian Lobo, J R Kotian and many other old students assured their support for the welfare of the school. 

Clement Lobo compered the programme.  Janet Lobo welcomed while Vasant Nayak gave the vote of thanks.
