Mangalore, Dec 17 [8.30pm IST]: When it comes to any programmes with the 'Yodelling King', Melwin Peris, in the lead, it's got to be a jam-packed house. And so it was in Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday, December 17 evening.

As the name said, the 'Sevak Melwin Peris Nite' was a joint venture of Sevak monthly magazine and Melwin Peris and his team.


The function also marked release of six books from Sevak Publications - Tum Mogall Fula by Fr Roshan Menezes, Capuchin, Solvonnechi Jik by Judy Pinto, Kalliz Khoinche Kuxik by Brother Juniper, Kal Ani Falleam Modlem by Geo D'Silva Agrar, Bhangarach Kuradd and Sangit - Devstutechi Chakorn by Fr Ronald Serrao.



Austin D'Souza Prabhu, Chicago was the chief guest on the occasion.

The vocals were provided by Melwyn Peris, Anitha Samson, Ivy DSouza, Vivian Fernandes,  Denis Peris, Albert Peris, Nester Peris, Babitha D'Costa, Rony Crasta, Sunil Monteiro, Amabel Moras and Joseph Pinto and music was privided by Joel Pereira with himself on the keyboard, Roshan D'Souza on lead guitar, Theo Alvares on trumpet, Umesh Suratkal on saxophone, Melwyn Fernandes on drums and Ashit Pinto on bass guitar. Humorous skits were played by Jerry Rasquinha, Joseph Pinto and Albert Peris.


Ocean Kids group entertained with their foot-tapping dances. Well known compere Leslie Rego Jerry Rasquinha compered the show.
