Dubai, Dec 16: It was a bright and sunny Friday morning. Amchigele Samaj’s 2nd anniversary celebration was held in Elite School,  Dubai. About 600 people took part in the celebration which started off with a prayer.

 

 

Young school children entertained the crowd with their dance to the tunes of Konkani songs, Hindi and Kannada film songs, followed by Bharatanatyam, Mridangam, Putani Prapanchadalli, Banditu Railu in dance forms.

Amgele Parivarache Parivartan followed by Karaoke singing competition was held. Dramas like Kaali Peela Kaali Chanda, Lage Raho Duriya Don Bhai and comedy skit Danda Pinda played by the members added spice to the celebration.

 

 Mythological quiz final round was held during anniversary celebration. Five teams (1 child + 1 parent) qualified for the final round.

GSP Mahila Sangha Mangalore’s former president Meeera Kini was the chief guest on the occasion. President  Subhash Shanbhouge addressed the gathering.

 

 

 

Main attraction of the show was recognition by Student Excellece Award which was handed over to excellent students in UAE. During the show, mementoes were presented to senior citizens and the organization's website was launched by Sathyan Bhat.

Annual report presented by secretary Shailesh Shenoy. Vote of thanks was proposed by vice president Ramachandra Hegde.

Gopi Kamath compered the entire show.
