Super Dan looks to third Olympic title in Rio


Beijing, Jan 7 (IANS): Two-time Olympic and five-time World champion Lin Dan Wednesday said he is aiming to win his third Olympic title at the 2016 Rio Games.

The top Chinese badminton player spoke at a ceremony where he inked a deal with sports gear manufacturer Yonex, reports Xinhua.

"I hope to win the third Olympic gold medal in Rio, which can show children around the world how one can realise one's dream through hard work and endeavour," said the 31-year-old, dubbed "Super Dan".

Lin is one of the most accomplished badminton players in history, having 2008 and 2012 Olympic singles titles and five world championships gold medals to his name.
