Daijiworld Media Network

Mumbai, Jan 7: Amitabh Bachchan today released the trailer of 'Shamitabh' a film by R Balki that has Dhanush and Akshara Hassan as his co-stars. The trailer not only gives audiences glimpse into the world of Shamitabh but also makes one want to watch more and soon. Dhanush, in the trailer seems to want to become the megastar that is Amitabh Bachchan but also seems self-assured and confident that he is more than Big B.

Amitabh assays the role of a drunk to the hilt, unkempt moustaches, an unruly beard, hair that needs some serious grooming and all. About his look in the film, the actor said, "For this film we have tried different looks and some international makeup artistes have worked together for this look. We have worked really hard for this film. My makeup artist Deepak Sawant has also worked on my look."

He said that R Balki had always brought him an unusual script whenever he had approached the 71 year old to act in his movie. Scripts like Cheeni Kum, Paa and now Shamitabh seem to call to the actor's soul in Amitabh. Dhanush throughout the trailer stands for himself and refuses to be shadowed by the megastar.

Akshara Hassan, daughter of Kamal Hassan plays a significant role and well enough to catch and hold the attention of the audiences. Given that the trailer seems to have captured a lot of attention, it remains to be seen if the movie justifies the time people give it.
