Mumbai, Jan 7: Director Mahesh Bhatt seems happy that his upcoming film has been granted permission for screening, albeit only for adults (18yrs and above). Described as an erotic supernatural movie, 'Khamoshiyan' is one of the many movies that have been made by the director that are rife with sexual content.

Gurmeet Choudhary, Sapna Pabbi and Ali Fazal are the cast of the film and going by the raunchy trailer, the movie seems to belly steamy scenes. Mahesh Bhatt did not seem to be too ruffled that the certificate was restrictive, and instead opined that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had taken an acceptable decision.

Given that the director has made many bold movies, it is not surprising that he was happy that the movie was given permission to be screened in India. He further said that the CBFC had broadened their thinking, given the changing times and he was glad that they were quiet accepting of his film. For his own part he believed in that the movie required the raw emotion that he had projected into it and diluting it just to make it more palatable for the masses would have destroyed the essence of the story.

Produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films banner, the movie will hit theaters at the end of this month.
