Tamil Nadu captain injured in Ranji match against Bengal


Kolkata, Jan 6 (IANS): Tamil Nadu cricket captain Ramaswamy Prasanna was reportedly injured on the second day of their Ranji Trophy encounter against Bengal at the Eden Gardens here Tuesday.

Prasanna was batting on 50 when he got injured while attempting a run, ramming into Bengal pacer Ashok Dinda.

It is believed he was already injured before the match and the collision aggravated it. The details and extent of the injury are yet to be made public.

Prasanna was rushed to a private south Kolkata hospital for scans.
