Dubai: Stage Set for Usha-Lorna at Manddo Baila Fiesta

Dubai, Dec 14: Al Nasr Leisureland is all set for the variety of entertainment evening on Thursday which will feature India's leading pop star Usha Uthup, the nightingale of Goa Lorna,  Goan band Lynx, Sri Lankan band Zodiac and budding Mangalorean stars Alwin, Deesha and Prakash. On the whole, it will be an evening of music, rarely found with so much of mixture and variety.

Apart from the musical treat, loads of spot prizes are to be won by the audience. The compere of the show is once again Annie Menezes who dynamically co-compered Mangalore Konkans' family fiesta on last Friday and Cedric will be the co-host along with Annie. He has plenty of experience in handling major shows in and ouside Dubai.

It is also a rare opportunity for the audience to see Usha and Lorna singing on one stage, perhaps many not be a duet song, but by turns. It is a rare privilege to see two veteran, evergreen singing stars of India

"As the final countdown has begun, the demand for the tickets is extremely encouraging. A lot of people are already talking about the kind of sensation the show would bring about. The show will entertain not only Mangalore, Goan and Sri Lanakan crowds, but this is a show for the entire music-loving community wherever they may be from," says Ronald Pasanna, chief organizer, while speaking to daijiworld.com correspondent.

Bosco Martis, a leading choreographer of Bollywood fame has arrived all the way from Malaysia to direct the entire Manddo show. He has just attended the international film award ceremony, successfully choreographing the event. Popular for his choreography, specially for 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and other hit movies, Bosco's direction is xpected to bring out quality performances from the artistes.

Local dance troupe led by Vinod Sequiera  will be another attraction, as this troupe has to its credit some mercural performances in Dubai in the recent past.

"Watching and listening to Usha sing in Konkani with her appealing stage presentation is going to create a fesive mood at the venu. Lorna, the unmatched Konkani talent among female voices that Konkani has ever seen, will surely lift up the show," says Ronald.

"It is very important to know that both are legends in their own categories and both are extremely down-to-earth and outgoing personalities. We assure real fun to the audience on Thursday night," he says.
