Muscat : Coastal Cricket Team Wins Expat Paradise Cricket Cup

Muscat, Dec 10: Coastal Cricket Team led by Yuvaraj, successful entrepreneur and Jerald Mascarenhas, versatile Mangalorean Community activist, has won the “Expat Paradise Cricket Tournament 2006” trophy organized by leading business house of Oman, Mohsin Haider Darwish. 

 Coastal Cricket team formed in 1996 by Yuvarj and Jerald Mascarenhas to actively support cricket talents of the Coastal Karnataka Youths residing in the sultanate. While celebrating their 11th anniversary, Jerald Mascarenhas said – “ our goal is to give equal opportunities to our coastal Karnataka youths to exhibit their cricket talents. We have very good and versatile youngsters who are very much eager to participate in various cricket tournaments in Oman; as you know we give a platform to all of them. We are really proud to say that for the time in the history Coastal Cricket Team, we have won a major tournament. Each and every member of the team is proud of the success and achievements.”

Apart from being the winners of “Expat Paradise Cricket Tournament 2006”, Coastal Cricket Team has also secured Runners Up in Jazz Boys Cricket Tournament organized by Assarain Group and  Runners Up in Muscat Beach Cricket Tournament organized by Muscat Beach Trading LLC  in this year.

The winning team consists of Yuvaraj, Jerald Mascarenhas, Khalil, Roshan, Imran, Ravi, Girish, Sathish, Hameed, Ashfaq, Vasanth and Viswanath.

Looking forward to have a cheerful and successful years ahead, Jerald says – “We are working very hard to achieve success in the various tournaments in Oman and certainly will become one of the leading cricket team in this region. ”
