Mangalorean Association of Saudi Arabia Formed in Al Kobhar

Al Khobar, Dec 10: A cultural association entitled "Mangalorean Association of Saudi Arabia" (MASA) of some Mangaloreans recently came into existence here in Al Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the headship of Mr. Karunakara Salian Yermal. The main aim of the association, as set, is to provide a platform for the cultural activities of the community and services. More than 150 people of and around Mangalore gathered in the first kick off programme held in Khobar Rezayath Auditorium.
 
"It is the duty of every member of the Association to make it successful" Mr. Ravi Karkera told in his inaugural speech. Mr. Karunakar Salian, president-elect, has also spoken on the occasion calling on the members to prosper the Association. The inaugural function was followed by the entertainment programmes, in which Deeksha, Shruthi, Mithali, Navya, Shravan, and Prashama have actively presented their talents in their variety of programmes. Mr. Shanthosh Shetty, Ravi Karkera, Gopala Shetty, Narendra Shetty, Naveen Bhandary and others have staged cultural programmes.
