Poland to host 2016 European Men's Handball meet

Warsaw, Dec 24 (IANS): Poland will host the European Men's Handball Championship in January 2016, said Polish Handball Federation (ZPRP) president Andrzej Krasnicki.

Sixteen teams will compete at the tournament, which will be held in four cities in Poland, reports Xinhua.

The final and semi-final matches will be played at Krakow Arena.

"The decision (to play 19 matches of the Handball Championship in Krakow) is informed by the quality of the sports arena, history and traditions of Krakow," said Krasnicki Tuesday.

Gdansk Ergo Arena, Wroclaw Centennial Hall (Hala Stulecia), and Katowice Spodek Arena will also host some other matches.
