Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld News Network – Mumbai (SS)

Mumbai, Dec 7:  The foundation for the BGS Jairam Chawla International Residency School was laid at Khalapura at Raighad district here on Sunday December 5.  Shri Balagangadhara Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Math performed the bhoomi pooja. Governor S M Krishna laid the foundation stone.

Adichunchanagiri Seva Samiti Mumbai president Narayana R Gowda, vice president Jairam Chawla, Deepa Chawla, Billawar Association president Jaya C Suvarna and Tilakraj Ballal, were present on the dais.


The function began with the recitation of Veda mantras by the students.
 
Nearly sixty students who had come arrived from Bangalore math, performed the ‘veeragaase dance’.


Balagangadhar Swamiji felicitated Narayana R Gowda, Jaya C Suvarna. Sanjay Jadhav, M K Ganju and Dr Ravindranath Hyderabad, who have been instrumental in the shaping of the project.

Narayana R Gowda welcomed the gathering.  Swamiji of Chikkaballapura math, spoke on service through education. Shivji Singh gave the vote of thanks.
