Australia bowled out for 505 in first innings


Brisbane, Dec 19 (IANS): Australia were bowled out for 505 runs in their first innings, taking a 97-run lead against India on the third day of the second Test at the Gabba here Friday.

Australia were 503 for nine till tea on the third day with Mitchell Starc (52) and Josh Hazzlewood (not out 32) at the crease.

But Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed left-hander Starc in the first over after tea.
