Berdych announces new coaching team for 2015


Prague, Dec 17 (IANS): Czech Republic tennis star Tomas Berdych has announced he will be coached by Dani Vallverdu and Azuz Simcich in 2015.

Vallverdu had worked with Andy Murray for the past five years before the pair mutually ended their working arrangement last month, reports Xinhua.

World No.7 Berdych compiled a 55-22 match record in 2014, finishing in the top-10 of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings for the fifth straight year.

The 29-year-old won two ATP World Tour titles in Rotterdam and Stockholm and went 1-2 in round robin play on his fifth successive appearance at the ATP World Tour Finals.
